highly doubt it...

some point booster possibly could have gotten it.

even with point boosting its going to be a looooonnnnnnggggg  game. probably like a week long game.

Personally I think it's a great idea.

But thats because i look at it as a gamerscore achievement, it's 50G, and having to get 2,400,000 on a Halo RTS for 50G is rediculous. It's now a viable achievement.

On another note, Gears makes you get 15,000 kill for an achievement. or 2000 games played. 

2000 games on halo wars gives you about 2.4 million points

 

Avg score I see is 2-3k per game, fine gentlemen who care about points get 7-8k per game, so depending on you play style you can have :

4 mil - 6 mil points     -----  14 mil - 16 mil  points

This is crazy, i've played around 400 hours for 1.8million points and now people get general for less than a million. what exactly is the reason for this, dont you devs know that some people play just to get to general and are then gonna shelf the game? and most importantly even though rank doesn't dictate skill at all, it still let's you know the person is experienced. not anymore! at least make general 1.5 million and even there its screwed up for the small hardcore fanbase the game has left.

Does it really matter if people will get the rank sooner? I have seen people in all ranks show great signs of skill and then also get scrubbed out horribly. If people honestly care about rank over TrueSkill, then there is something amiss here. It's like saying a Captain with a TrueSkill of 27 is scrubby compared to say a Colonel of a TrueSkill of 15. And before someone asks how is that possible, you can get Colonel even if you lose almost every single match you play. Or at least have a higher lose:win ratio.

 Rank only shows you've PLAYED the game for a LENGHT of time. It no where dictates the person's skill at all. True you'd expect a General to be a very tough opponent, but that doesn't mean he won't end up being scrubbed out by a good strategy. I honestly think lowering the experience cap is a good thing, since the only thing ranks are good for is displaying how long you've played, and getting GamerScore. And I'm sure that we've all seen that crap Brigadier ranked person or that rather well skilled Captain play and do something we nowhere near expected them to do. And now people will actually quit looking at ranks, and look more into how the person plays. If so many people here are saying that Rank means something, this will defiantly usher in a quick way for people not to care for ranks anymore.
