    ANTIMANGINA:The funny thing about this is my roommate who is terrabad at Wars will be a general when this happens. He is awful and only has winning streaks when I'm in the room telling him exactly what to do. There are going to be alot of generals after this. Which is good. Maybe now people will stop resigning because of the rank they are facing. This just might eliminate the insta-resign

    or if u see like a major u think recruit? or maybe thats  just me?

    Aloysius:We are looking at lowering the the amount of points needed to achieve every rank.

    Here are the proposed points for each rank, this will take effect when the Title Update goes live (which we do not have a time frame for yet).

    We hope that this will make getting the Running the Show Achievement easier for players while still making it a challenge. We are sure that all current Generals will welcome the new Generals with open arms.
    I like this.  I have been playing this the day it came out, and I am still not a general.  Now it will be time for me to get the last achievement.
    I got Halo Wars the day it came out. I have flaming warthog and honor guard wraith. I even have the general rank and all the achievements. No one can beat that.

    I wanted to get a brig and stay there )= owell general in Halo 3 and wars now lol bring on reach! (please be a skill level general ranking in that, rather than playing time)

    Why do you feel it is too low?

    You still have to play hundreds of games to achieve that rank, and we're not taking anything away from current generals.

    it just seem so low because it used to be so high.

    it went from 3200000 to 2400000 to 960000

    thats less than a third of the original amount. less than half of the 2.4 million. a bit disappointing for people that have more than that.

    general was original 3 million and something. Then you droped it down to 2.4 which was still a lil on the high side but still good. Now your dropping it down to little less then 1million. thats 1/3 of the original general points. Ethics made a free 1 month account that will nearly be general if the number remains the same. i know a person who will be a general 5 times over if you drop it to 966,000

    I suggest dropping it down to 1.5m. with that number you can get it in less then 300 hours. I have 1.6m points in 351hours played on halo wars which i believe includes campaign and private games. 

     

    If your doing this so running the show is attainable change it so you get it when you reach brig and drop the ranks down like last time so general is 1.5m brig is 700k and so on.

    I can understand that, but given that 0.5% of players have it, it seems a bit TOO high. We didn't want it to be some impossible to get achievement that required thousands of games. We reduced it initially because it was too high, and even that reduction wasn't enough. So we're reducing it to the level where it takes a good amount of games to achieve (so, no, not everyone who plays MP will get it), but isn't too grindy.

    We feel it's a good level, so players who play a lot can get it without having to play 8 hours a night for weeks at a time. That was never the intention.

    Edit: 300 hours of playing is a full time job for 7 and a half weeks. That is a bit much for an achievement.
