but if u look at the MA5K in the GoO cover, it looks similiar also

the weapon the BR-55 is based on is in fact a stripped MA5 variety, and is more related in design to the MA5B than the BR-55

just an idea but the Spirit of Fire could be the ship that the UNSC decided to have preform field test with the br cuz even though the Spartans and the rest of the marines couldn't get them this would give a logical and realistic explanation for a pre halo 1 br.

and later on in the book  u read that the go to a remote military research station were they

the MJOLNIR armor in The Fall of Reach used is Marks IV and V

Marks I, II, and III are prototypes. Not used in cave training

Chief Petty Officer Mendez said that the Drill Instructors were in power armor (not mark I) for thier protection

the Damascus Testing Facility on Chi Ceti IV is where they recieved MJOLNIR armor mark IV(without shields)

If your going to correct someone, at least get it right
