that's the stupidest question ever, the spartans are better than ODST in every way now if it was somthing like would you rather have 300 spartans or 1200 ODST that might make more sense?

Read my FF! Human-Covenant War: Without The Great Schism. It's an FF based upon how the war would have ended up if there was no Great Schism. There are a lot of twists and there is a lot of action!

ODST's are spartan punching bags. Hell, they used them to test out the SPARTAN II program on the MC and MJONIR armor. There are only a few SPARTAN II's but I'll bet that all of them could make it to set 300 on firefight....

See what I did there? Hehe, the clever shall notice it...

Spartans if instead of ODSTs there were spartans the war would have ended before it began the Covenant would be like lets go kill those human @$$ess. *Covenant walk in on spartans training on harvest*

Ten minutes later 100 spartans capture a covenant cruisor make it all the way to high charity and blow it up in about all 5 days.....

Thats how it would have turned out if there were a crap load of spartans. Or the covenant would have just surrendered after one firefight with the spartans
